In 1977-1978, composer John Williams directed the soundtrack of both Star Wars and Superman, two movies that have had great influence on several generations of geeks. Being overwhelmed by work, John's composing tended to sound very similar at certain points, something that is completely valid, Mozart's pieces often sound undeniably similar.

"Superman or Star Wars" is created by Jonas Johansson and Por Wikorn, and the idea spun from a simple question from Por; "Hey, do you know the theme song of Superman?", whereas I responded "Of course!" and began whistling the theme of Star Wars. Several tries later I could still not decipher certain parts of each theme from each other. To train ourselves, and others, in this very important question, we created this challenge. It is in every way an homage to one of the greatest composers of our generation.

The game consists of ten randomized audio clips that originates from the main theme of either Superman or Star Wars. For each round, a set of clips is randomly selected and played. Once the clip has been played, the player has to choose which movie it originates from by clicking either the head of Superman or Darth Vader. At the end, the points are collected and the player is rewarded with the theme of the movie that they answered the most correctly, and the possibility to share their profound cunning of musical history with the world.
